Terms of Use

Whatlas analyzes chat exports that you provide and shows statistics about them. Statistics are calculated automatically from the export file and describe the exported messages only. They may be incomplete if the export is partial, and they are provided for personal entertainment and reflection. They are not professional, psychological or relationship advice, and they don't measure anyone's feelings or intentions.

Pro includes optional writing features (such as letters, toasts and roasts) that use Apple's on-device model and run only when you ask. The text they produce is generated automatically from statistics and is meant for fun. It can be inaccurate, exaggerated or unexpected, it doesn't reflect the views of the developer, and it isn't a judgment of anyone. Use your own judgment before sharing it. These features need a device that supports Apple Intelligence and may not be available in every language or region.

Quizzes, awards and similar features are playful takes on the statistics. They're meant to be enjoyed together, not to embarrass or single out anyone.

You are responsible for the exports you import and for having the right to use them. Chats include messages from other people, so please respect their privacy and don't share their information in ways they wouldn't expect. The app processes content only on your device.

The free version lets you import one chat and see a limited set of its statistics. The fictional demo chat shows every feature, so you can see what Pro includes, and doesn't count as your chat. Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited chats and every feature permanently on devices signed in with the same Apple Account, and can be restored with Restore Purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.

Don't use the app to harass, surveil or harm other people, or in violation of applicable laws.

Whatlas is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner and is mentioned only to describe compatibility with its export feature.

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the developer doesn't guarantee that statistics are error-free or that the app will be uninterrupted, and isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

These terms may be updated with new versions of the app.
